Posting for Autumn: A Jasper Miracle

This is some story, and I probably don't have  the details right. On August 10, sometime in the morning, Chance (age 2)  was put in the truck for a brief moment while another adult went around the vehicle. In that short time, Chance was able to put the truck in reverse, and the truck, with Chance inside, started rolling backwards toward the pond at the bottom of the driveway. As the other adult chased the vehicle, trying to get an arm in, Chance's mom, Kayla, grabbed the side of the truck and dug her heels in. For some reason, the truck's tires turned, and the truck stopped after hitting a boulder. Chance was bounced from the truck and landed in some brush, unscathed other than a couple of cuts and bruises. Kayla twisted both ankles but was otherwise unharmed. The truck sustained a lot of damage, but heck, it's only a truck.

For some reason, that same morning, Joann Lancaster (Rick's mom) had Chance on her mind and used her prayer time praying exclusively for him.

Autumn and her crew have moved to a large rental home where all of them are comfortable and can focus on some economic sanity. Autumn's looking to renew her nursing license pretty soon. She has the same street address, but check your e-mails for a new land-line phone number. Their cells don't work inside the new house.
